At a Creative Standstill:(
I am trying a new type of border for Kara's quilt and I am at a standstill. I know what I want but I am having a problem getting it to look like I want. I know that I will get there. I think that the starting of the new school year has taken presence in my mind. My goal was to get it done before school started. I still have a week that I don't have kids and papers to grade......so who knows what will happen. I may have to wait for the UFO (unfinished object) class at The Christmas Goose with Val. I know that she will have a way of making it go together. So until then I will keep working on it.

One more Baby Quilt
I finally finished Altsie's quilt. It is the first one that I quilted free motion (that is where you drop the feed dogs and just move the material with your hands.) The hardest part of of doing this is of course control and to have an even stitch length. Andrea at The Christmas Goose (I just love that name it makes me smile every time) says that it will become easier with practice. You would think that I would know that because I tell that to my students all the time. I think that part that I enjoy doing the most is the binding. Thank you Val for teaching me the Val binding technique. It works every time.
